1. Listening

Let's go to page 24. See how many words you can make in 3 minutes using all of the scrabble tiles on the page.  What is the longest word that you made?

Now listen to track 2.2 and hear how to play "What's the word?". You can listen again with the transcript on page 119, if you would like.

Now listen to track 2.3 and guess the 6 words they describe. You can listen again with the transcript on page 119 to help you.

Finally, listen to track 2.4 to check your answers.

2. Grammar: Defining relative clauses

Let's go to page 24 of the book. Let's do 2a.

1. It's something which people use to speak to another person.
2. It's a place where people go when they want to go shopping.
3. It's somebody who works in a hospital.

We use which or that with objects, things and concepts.
We use where with places.
We use who or that with people.

Let's go to page 130 and 131. Read the information on page 130.

3c Complete the definitions.

1. A DJ is somebody who works in a bar or on the radio and chooses what songs to play.

5. Sunbathe: For example, you do this when you go to the beach in the summer.
6. curly: it's the opposite of straight.

*Kind, type, sort: all three words are synonyms, they mean tipo o clase

We did the communication activity from 4 on page 24, using the pictures and information on pages 101 and 107.

5. Reading

Go to page 25. Let's correct exercises 5b and 5c.

c. Do you know what these words mean?

1. YouTube -> Internet portal for viewing and sharing videos.
2- keyboard -> device used to write on a computer.
3. zoom -> increase or decrease the size of an image or the information on the screen.
4. gadget -> a device, usually digital or technological.
5. message -> information passed from one person to another.
6. hacker -> a person with excellent computer skills who can see other people's or company's details online without permission.
